The world is going through a crisis right now, it’s called ‘Severe Lack of Meryl Streep’

Following the death of their eldest sister the Carroway ‘girls’ reunite for the first time in decades and begin to tell each other the gaps of their lives they each missed, through this they begin to understand what shaped them to be who they are today.

“What happened to us?” Annie is still the most cynical of us, she has dark patches under her eyes, the sort that you know have come from decades of little sleep, decades of crying, decades of worry.
”Well you two bleached your hair and got away from Dad as soon as you could.” Suzie’s face is sweet but when looking into the pupils of her eyes they’re darker than any others, they hold secrets, lies and ghosts of a past she wanted to forget.
”We were happy, well I was at least, what happened to everything?” I look at these two women, my sisters, and I realise there’s nothing sisterly about us. They’re merely two people I lived with when I was younger and forgot about when I left. But I know, like me, they’ve struggled with life and without warning Suzie creates a bond between us that’s never been formed before. She parts her lips.
”I fell in love with a married man after you two left, I’ve never told anyone that before.”
